The study of interaction of people with their environment

The people of Malta are European in thought, behavior and custom. They are particularly hospitable and make friends very easily, being able to speak many languages but predominantly English. Maltese youngsters love enjoying themselves has plenty of opportunities to have a good time, and mix very well with their foreign counterparts. Malta has its own language - however, until recently, Malta was a British protectorate for some 160 years. The voluminous presence of British personnel in Malta pervaded Maltese Society, which became English speaking. Today English is an official language together with the Maltese. Further more civilization in Malta goes back thousands of years and is much earlier than in many parts of Europe. This makes Malta very rich historically. Malta’s history is also very varied with pre-historic megalithic temples. Roman settlements, Arab influences and European domination.
